Collection and Use

We collect the following personal information from you :

Shared Contacts for Gmail®:

  1. Your Google contacts: Used to synchronize the contacts you wish to share with other users. Note that we do not store the contacts on our systems except for if you require the contacts backup feature.
  2. Your Google User Info (Read Only): Used to authenticate you when you log to the application.
  3. Your Google Domain and Directory info (Read Only) : Used to know the users and mailing lists of your domain in order to allow you to share contacts with them. Also to know your domain country and language in order to display the proper local information.
  4. Your Google Licences (Read Only): Used to provide automated discounts, packages and promotion are based on Google licences.

MAPI for Gmail®:

  1. Your Google User Info (Read Only) : Used to authenticate you when you log to the application.
  2. Your Google Emails: Used to create draft email and attach the file that you want to send.

We use this information to:

  1. Facilitate and administer business services you have requested through our applications.
  2. If you provide us personal information about others, or if others give us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as offering customer support services. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. We may also disclose your personal information:

  1. as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process.
  2. when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request,
  3. if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice through our app of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information,

The security of your personal information is important to us. We take commercially reasonable measures and follow generally accepted standards to protect the information you provide us, both during transmission and once we receive it. For example, if you provide sensitive information such as a credit card number when purchasing an app or through the app itself, the information you provide is transmitted via encryption using technologies such as secure socket layer technology (SSL). No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Tracking Technologies

Gapps Experts Inc. uses Google Analytics to analyse user’s use of the Shared Contacts for Gmail®’s website. Google Analytics tracking code is implemented in and and provide us with aggregated data in order to help us make informed business decisions. To help us track sales and other conversions, we also use Adwords Conversion Tracking cookies. In addition, we use Remarketing and targeted Audiences to advertise across the Internet. Along with the Google Analytics cookie, the DoubleClick cookie is collected by Google based on user’s browsing history. This helps us gain a more accurate understanding of our visitors’ demographics, behaviours and interests. We further associate the reports with individual personally identifiable information that user may have shared with us. If you want to opt-out of Google’s use of cookies, please change your settings by going to Google’s Ad Settings page. We or a third party contracted by us may use technologies such as cookies, Web beacons, or scripts to gather information about how you and others interact with our app. For example, we will know how many users access a specific areas or features within the app and which links or ads they clicked on. We use this aggregated information to understand and optimize how our app is used, improve our marketing efforts, and provide content and features that are of interest to you. Ultimately, Google, as a third party, controls information collected through Google Analytics. Information stored

Gapps Experts do not store any emails, contacts or documents from your Google accounts.

Shared Contacts for Gmail® is synchronizing your contacts by comparing hashes, which allows the service to provide to detect changes without storing any of your data on our systems (besides your usernames, emails and group names).

If you opt for the “corporate” version and activate the “Contacts backup” feature, we will store your contacts as long as your paid subscription is active. You will be able to request deletion of this data at all times.

Shared Contacts for Gmail® is not reading or retrieving any of your emails. With you Gmail API is queried only for creating new draft emails on your behalf and attach the documents you wish to send.

Accessing Your Information

To review, correct, or update your account information, please contact your company’s G Suite administrator. You may access this app directly to review and modify any information you provided directly to this app. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to close your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, contact your company’s G Suite administrator. Your company’s G Suite administrator may choose to uninstall this app, at which time the account administrator is responsible for notifying you regarding your company’s discontinued use of this app. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Privacy Statement Updates

We may update this privacy statement to reflect changes to our business or this app as it pertains to the information collected from you and our use of it. If the change impacts how we use or handle information collected from you, we will email you and/or your company’s G Suite administrator, or post a notice where you first access this app prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
